Great Lakes Capital Fund has been involved with LIHTCs since 1993. We have a robust pipeline of development opportunities across our region for investors and have multiple options for banks, insurance companies, and other corporations to invest.

We enable civic minded banks and corporations the opportunity to:

  • Participate in a low-risk investment that helps stimulate the local economy
  • Support the development of high quality affordably-priced housing for people who earn between $15,000 and $35,000 per year
  • Receive a good internal rate of return based upon tax benefits associated with each investment
  • Achieve risk diversification and risk sharing through a fund investment

Banks receive additional benefits through the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

We provide many different options for investors:

  • Multi-investor funds encompassing several states ($1 million minimum investment, maximum risk diversification)
  • Single state multi-investor funds ($500,000 minimum investment, risk diversification)
  • Single investor funds (supporting multiple projects within one fund, generating one tax return for an investor)
  • Brokered direct placements and/or side-by-side investments (offering maximum PR and CRA value for an investor)
